The fact that 2020 was a turbulent year is no controversy or secret. From a global pandemic to political unrest to a sharp economic downturn—as a society many of us have struggled. However, in this issue of Focus we wanted to draw attention to the way that individuals have persevered, and the community has come together.
We found inspiring stories tucked away in our Waco community about how people have helped each other bear the storm that the past year wrought. Our community may have struggled, but we also grew stronger and more unified, and we should feel encouraged as we look ahead to this new year. Through these stories we believe that our community has proven that even when things look bleak, there are ways to find peace and shelter in the “eye of the storm.”
